Luke and Luca tinker just packaging for their homemade soap. In the kitchen, the kids are working on dough.
The smell of exotic scents fills the room. Florian Luca and Luke tinker just decorative containers for your homemade soaps and "soda bombs". They have equipped with marbles or rose petals.

With the professional assistance of Daniela class primary school children ask one morning bath and soaps ourselves.

For the sixth time, the Family Education Center (FBS) Gronau offers under the "Creative Week" to different activities for children during the holidays. Not only in soap manufacture is the creativity in the first place - even if it sometimes something tangible approaching: Bennet pounding his fists on a piece of a shortcrust
pastry. "He's so hard, because it comes straight from the fridge," said the little baker. Cookies and play dough he and the other children in his group bake. In this Halloween is the motto at the center. Loosen the children knead the dough and cut largely independently. If required, it will help the people of the FBS, including three students. One of them is Laureen Kissing. The aspiring high school graduate is not the first time. The work with the children make her fun, she says as she puts the finished punched bats, cats and ghosts on the baking sheet.

The same also says Claudia Conrad, instructor in the parent-child field of the FBS and first in charge of the organization of the "Creative Week". A challenge, especially since the interest is in the four-day offer enormous: "There was even a waiting list," Conrad says enthusiastically. The total of 45 children participating this time will be divided into four groups and so can every day to start a new station. Thereby the interest in the "Creative Week" to maintain, one must offer new activities each year. Finally, some children were in all four years of their primary school years there.

An example of a very fresh offer designing the "Rainmaker" is. While Jacob's "Rainmaker", which consists of a cardboard tube, which was packed with nails and filled with rice, painted from the gut in blue and red and decorated with stars and feathers, designed Katja its tube along the lines of the night sky: Stars and a moon on a blue background adorn the instrument. Asked what they would for the most interesting to, she replied: "That felt to me was the most fun."

When felting is about pockets to create bookmarks, placemats and purses and zurechtzuschneidern. In this latter especially are particularly popular. It reaches a rectangular piece of felt, a little string and a button - even the beautiful wallet ready. Thus, when cutting and sewing nobody hurt the fingers, here carers with advice and practical help. Nevin Geveler, high school student and also in the final year, this year for the first time as a counselor there. They tried, among other things, to gain experience in an educational environment that may be required in the later study and work to be useful. When asked whether she could imagine, once again participate in the "Creative Week," she says - like most children - with a distinct and spontaneous, "Yes!"
