Creative designs at textile expo

Activities at the Heimtextil 2012 News

With "Ideas crossing" Heimtextil 2012 is a theme that invites you to
explore creative product ideas and new thinking. Young companies and
prospective product, furniture and textile designers are waiting for
the international trade fair for home and contract textiles of 11 to
14 January 2012 with refreshing inspirations and innovative textile
developments. With a new joint presentation of young talent and a
broad business support program brings young talent into the spotlight
Heimtextil.

New ideas for bathroom, bed and table may expect the next Heimtextil
trade visitors from New @ More. Young companies in a class will
present their collections and new products in the premium segment in
Hall 11. "With New More @ we have created a new platform, the start-up
companies the opportunity to present first to an international
audience of home textiles," said Meike core, project manager of home
textiles. "We are very excited about the product launches of some
highly interesting newcomers, offering a creative addition to the

Creative designs for multi-functional upholstered furniture

For the fifth time, Heimtextil, in cooperation with the fiber producer
Trevira CS and the trade magazine PolsterFashion the Newcomer Award
Young Contract Creations Award: Upholstery advertised. Under the motto
"Relax!" Prospective product, furniture and textile designers are
asked to design multi-functional upholstered furniture for the
commercial sector. The new furniture models have invited to sit and

submitted by 13 international universities. The five-member jury -
Prof. Jan Armgard (furniture designer), Stefan Bornemann (Director of
Sales ERPO furniture factory), Silke Forner (Editor in Chief
PolsterFashion), Anja Greger (designer Trevira) and Bernd Hollin
(architect) - selected from among all entries, the most interesting
models. The competition is supported by the 2012 ERPO furniture
factory. The 25 best designs are on display during the fair at a
special show in Hall 4.2. The total prize money of 5,000 Euro will be
on 11 January 2012 at 16:30 clock in Hall presented 4.2.

International design schools introduce themselves

Another source of inspiration for visitors from industry, interior
design, architecture and textile design is the special area CAMPUS

Inspiration from the fashion world

Including interdisciplinary, Heimtextil offers inspiration for young
design: For the first time presents the College of Design, the
Frankfurt School of clothing and fashion with its own booth in Hall
11.0 at Heimtextil. With the support of the home textile students an
insight into their projects. During the presentation will present the
young designer's own models and visualize the color trends, the
fashion zeitgeist and visions for 2013.
